I have been trying to learn how to supplement my income with online business opportunities for five years now and I have to say it is not as easy as you may think unless you have the right tools. I am not going to lie; my first few months trying to navigate the make money at home arena made me feel like I was underwater all the time. Much like Dory in Disney’s Finding Nemo I kept saying “just keep swimming, just keep swimming.” There were so many ups and downs that first year I lost count. I do have the say that when I made a sale no matter what was going on around me I thought to myself, you see you can make money, all I have to do now is figure out a way to make it into a steady income stream.

I decided I was going to search out a place that could offer me some guidance on what is the best way to get started and start making money without a huge cost to me. This is where I found my first resource. I came across a great community where I learned the ropes and got some really great training. After careful review I decided to sign up. I can honestly say that as far as a learning resource it is like a mini library of information about ways to make money online and work from home. I personally fell that that last statement speaks volumes since with the training I received I was able to generate an extra $1500.00 in income in the first 3 months.

The second resource that I found that nearly doubled my business is something that really helped me make money on the web. I decided to take the money earned and reinvest some it back into my business. That’s right I went crazy and decided that I was going to invest a total of $20.00 a month extra into my business. With that I was able to get a tool that is in my mind well worth the cost. I opened an auto responder account. What is an auto responder you ask; well I’m going to tell you. It is a service that you can set up mailing lists with. That’s right people with similar interests sign up for your mailing list. This means that you are beginning to build a base audience that wants to buy things. I’m not going to insult your intelligence by continuing on but you can see how you can make money online and work at home. Set up the right responses and you can sit back and watch the sales come in.

Setting all the pieces needed to be a money making internet affiliate takes time and many hours of trial and error. You have to really want to stay up writing articles or invest money that you do not always see a return on. This is all part of trying to get your make money at home venture off the ground and earning. Of course there are many things you can do, you can go out in to the internet oceans and try to wing it. I will call this the Titanic route since you will cruise along for a bit but eventually when you least expect it you will hit something and start to sink. Your making money website will turn into a wasting money website. This not only puts strain on your budget but it will also begin to wear down your mind and put on the path to negative thinking. I know, I know more of the positive thoughts stuff. I was the same way and I resisted it for years but one day decided what do I have to lose? Ok yeah it cost me some cash to get the right thing but I can say that it was an investment that was way worth the cash in. Keeping your head in the game is a key factor that many people forget since you are actually taking on more stress when you are trying to make money online and work at home. Set a goal and stick to it. I would suggest that you make a few goals. I would say set one long term major goal and shorter goals that will act like stepping stones to your major goal. This will help keep you motivated when times are tough since we as people love to feel achievement and really like it when times get tough.

I am not going to sit here and tell you that I make millions and be like me. Everyone is free to choose their own path when it comes to making money with websites but if you would take some friendly advice from someone who did a bit of trial and error. Never stop even when things get bleak keep positive and push through the hard times. If you can still keep focused on you original goal you are way ahead of most of the people out there and you have the resolve needed to make money online and work from home.
